2021’s Citizens’ Assembly and Electoral Session

Come discuss with your neighbours
what you need in your neighbourhood.

Now for our third year, À nous le Plateau’s Citizens Assembly invites you to discuss, with your neighbhours, needs in your neighbourhood.

Register through this form.

This assembly will occur in the context of November’s impending muncipal elections. Accordingly, we will be joining together our hopes and demands to the city.

To do this, we’re proposing two dates to meet:

SATURDAY OCTOBER 2nd (10am-5pm):
Citizens Assembly (in-person & online)

Done in the open forum format, cherished by À nous le Plateau! Facilitated by Anne Goldenberg, this meeting will allow all of us to determine our priorities for the neighbourhood, to define our proposals for the municipal candidates and to formulate projects for the “Ruba Participatory Budget”, which will be presented by none other than Ruba Ghazal. Be there!

We look forward to seeing you at this 3rd Citizens’ Assembly, which will be held this year at the fabulous Resto-Plateau, inside the jewel of the Centre de services communautaires du Monastère (4450 St-Hubert st., near Metro Mont-Royal, accessible entrance on the Metro side). A meal will be offered at noon, refreshments throughout the day, as well as a closing cocktail with appetizers, to nourish this day which will be rich in exchange!

As we are still in a pandemic situation, we ask you to register in advance via the following form. It will allow you to indicate if you have special needs (childcare, translations, or particular help) and if you wish to volunteer: https://forms.gle/F59NQBu1aDvQSGb56

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 6th (5pm-8pm):
Electoral Session (online)

This event will take the form of an election night and will be an opportunity for workshop participants to present their demands and proposals to all the candidates in the municipal election.
Event: facebook.com/events/3052633965015091

Thanks for marking down these dates in your agenda!

Our in-person, outdoor discussion will be strictly inclusive and will include universal access, mobility aid, a meal, places for discussion, breaks and a daycare. Our digital event will allow for simultaneous captioning in English and we are currently seeking sign language interpreters.

ANLP Happy Hour Event

2020-09-16 Guinguette d'Aurore

at the closing party of the Guinguette d’Aurore

Let’s celebrate together the success of the second edition of À nous le Plateau!

Join us at this event closing of Guinguette d’Aurore for the summer. The Guinguette d’Aurore is located at the back of St-Stanislas-de-Kostka Church, corner Garnier and Gilford.

For the occasion, the Maison d’Aurore organizes a concert with the Akoz Duo!

Akoz duo is a string duo created in Montreal by Julie and Olivier Babaz. In addition to composing original pieces for double bass and viola, the duo’s musicians are careful to highlight unusual playing modes such as the integration of kalimbas on the double bass, the exchange of roles in the arrangement or the development of improvisation tracks. Their artistic and personal backgrounds lead them to integrate multiple influences and styles into their music.

Come and discuss with us!

Bring your drinks, chairs or blankets.
