Let’s celebrate together the success of the second edition of À nous le Plateau!
Join us at this event closing of Guinguette d’Aurore for the summer. The Guinguette d’Aurore is located at the back of St-Stanislas-de-Kostka Church, corner Garnier and Gilford.
For the occasion, the Maison d’Aurore organizes a concert with the Akoz Duo!
Akoz duo is a string duo created in Montreal by Julie and Olivier Babaz. In addition to composing original pieces for double bass and viola, the duo’s musicians are careful to highlight unusual playing modes such as the integration of kalimbas on the double bass, the exchange of roles in the arrangement or the development of improvisation tracks. Their artistic and personal backgrounds lead them to integrate multiple influences and styles into their music.
Our assembly took place from Friday, August 28th to Sunday, August 30th where it ended at 5:00 pm. Your participation was there and we were able to make progress on several points of actions that we can all take for the future on the Plateau.
The participants of À nous le Plateau decided to get involved in the following areas:
East Plateau: Jardins de la Maison d’Aurore, 4816 Rue Garnier, near St Joseph.
West Plateau: Community Center of Galeries du Parc, 3590 Jeanne Mance.
You are welcome to come and go from the event and to move between thematic discussions. The venues for the Saturday’s face-to-face discussion groups subgroups (in two locations) will be outdoors and in compliance with government health regulations.

We are organizing a second À nous le Plateau! open assembly where citizens will have the opportunity to develop together a vision to build a citizen and solidarity movement on the Plateau and share how they want to get involved in the development of collective solutions.
See the video announcing our previous edition which was a great success:
Come take part in its organization by joining us this Wednesday!
We invite you to join us on Wednesday June 10 at 1 p.m. for a virtual meeting, to help determine how to organize this assembly, reach an important number of people to have a good mobilization, to see if we want to do this meeting in a virtual way or in a park (respecting the social distancing instructions) or both, and if will it be the first of several meetings over the coming months.
Everyone is welcome!
To join us go to Jitsi: https://meet.jit.si/anousleplateau. No need to download the app and please note that the site performs better on Google Chrome (but also works on other browsers). For the 2nd consecutive year, we are organizing a trip to the heart of direct democracy, the annual city halls in Vermont.
As last year, we will travel through several cities and towns in the Burlington region to attend various annual city halls where several decisions are made by direct democracy, with the citizens present! This visit was so inspiring last year that we decided to repeat it and open it to a wider audience!
